VersaSense and KU Leuven win “Best Paper Award” at MobiQuitous

Joint research between VersaSense and KU Leuven awarded with the Best Paper Award at the MobiQuitous 2017 Conference in Melbourne. The paper was presented by Emekcan Aras, Nicolas Small, Gowri Sankar Ramachandran, Stephane Delbruel, Wouter Joosen and Danny Hughes.

Their research paper “Selective Jamming of LoRaWAN using Commodity Hardware” highlights security issues found in the LoRa long range, low power networking system often used for IoT applications, and suggest a range of countermeasures that can be used to mitigate attacks.

MobiQuitous is the 14th EAI International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Systems: Computing, Networking and Services, and was held at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Melbourne, Australia, from November 7 to 10th, 2017.
