VersaSense and KU Leuven address security problems in LoRa networks used for IoT

Researchers from KU Leuven Research and VersaSense highlight security issues found in LoRa long range, low power networking system often used for IoT applications, and suggest a range of countermeasures that can be used to mitigate attacks.

Their research paper “Selective Jamming of LoRaWAN using Commodity Hardware” authored by Emekcan Aras, Nicolas Small, Gowri Sankar Ramachandran, Stephane Delbruel, Wouter Joosen and Danny Hughes was accepted at the MobiQuitous 2017 Conference.

MobiQuitous is the 14th EAI International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Systems: Computing, Networking and Services, to be held at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Melbourne, Australia, November 7-10, 2017.
